【摘要】:Thistestmethodallowstheusertocomputethetruehydraulicefficiencyofapumpedwellinaconfinedaquiferfromaconstantratepumpingtest.Theproceduresdescribedconstitutetheonlyvalidmethodofdeterminingwellefficiency.Somepractitionershaveconfusedwellefficiencywithpercentageofheadlossassociatedwithlaminarflow,aparametercommonlydeterminedfromastep-drawdowntest.Wellefficiency,however,cannotbedeterminedfromastep-drawdowntestbutonlycanbedeterminedfromaconstantratetest.Assumptions:Controlwelldischargesataconstantrate,Q.Controlwellisofinfinitesimaldiameter.Dataareobtainedfromthecontrolwelland,ifavailable,anumberofobservationwells.Theaquiferisconfined,homogeneous,andareallyextensive.Theaquifermaybeanisotropic,andifso,thedirectionsofmaximumandminimumhydraulicconductivityarehorizontalandvertical,respectively.Dischargefromthewellisderivedexclusivelyfromstorageintheaquifer.CalculationRequirements8212;Forthespecialcaseofpartiallypenetratingwells,applicationofthistestmethodmaybecomputationallyintensive.ThefunctionfsshowninEq6mustbeevaluatedusingarbitraryinputparameters.Itisnotpracticaltouseexisting,somewhatlimited,tablesofvaluesforfsand,becausethisequationisratherformidable,itisnotreadilytractablebyhand.Becauseofthis,itisassumedthepractitionerusingthistestmethodwillhaveavailableacomputerizedprocedureforevaluatingthefunctionfs.Thiscanbeaccomplishedusingcommerciallyavailablemathematicalsoftwareincludingsomespreadsheetapplicationsorbywritingprogramsinlanguages,suchasFortranorC.Ifcalculatingfsisnotpractical,itispossibletosubstitutetheKozenyequationfortheHantushequationaspreviouslydescribed.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesananalyticalprocedurefordeterminingthehydraulicefficiencyofaproductionwellinaconfinedaquifer.Itinvolvescomparingtheactualdrawdowninthewelltothetheoreticalminimumdrawdownachievableandisbasedupondataandaquifercoefficientsobtainedfromaconstantratepumpingtest.1.2Thisanalyticalprocedureisusedinconjunctionwiththefieldprocedure,TestMethodD4050.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard,exceptasnotedbelow.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunits,whichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3.1Thegravitationalsystemofinch-poundunitsisusedwhendealingwithinch-poundunits.Inthissystem,thepound(lbf)representsaunitofforce(weight),whiletheunitformassisslugs.1.4Limitations8212;Thelimitationsofthetechniquefordeterminationofwellefficiencyarerelatedprimarilytothecorrespondencebetweenthefieldsituationandthesimplifyingassumptionofthistestmethod.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
