【摘要】:ThisBritishStandarddescribesatestprocedureforthedeterminationofthefrostresistanceofunboundaggregatemixturesthathavebeencompactedtoformacylindricalspecimenwithapredeterminedwatercontentanddensity.Itisapplicabletounboundaggregatemixturesusedintheconstructionofroadsandotherpavedareasatadepththatmightexperiencefrostpenetration.NOTEThismethodcanbeusedtoassesshydraulicallyboundaggregatemixtures.However,acceptablevaluesoffrostheavemightdifferfromthoseusedtoassessunboundmixtures.ThisBritishStandardincludesanoptionfortheuseofcomparatorspecimenstoconfirmthatthetestchamberisworkingcorrectly.ThemethodfortheuseofcomparatorspecimensisgiveninAnnexB.
